  • Join Birmingham Children's Trust as a Principal Officer for Case Management Systems and Process

    Salary: £50,788 to £62,801 (Grade 6)

    Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for Children's Social Care? Do you have a good understanding of case management systems and how they can support best practice? If so, we want you on our team!

    About the Role: As the Principal Officer for Case Management Systems and Process, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Trust's development and use of its social care case management systems. You will work closely with practitioners, senior leaders, and ICT colleagues to shape the conditions needed for best practice and help to configure our case management systems to ensure that they work well for social care practitioners.  We are keen to explore automation and the use of AI in social care and the successful candidate will help lead developments in this area. This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week, where you will report to the Principal Social Worker and collaborate with the Head of Service for ICT.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage change within the Trust to improve social care practice.
    • Collaborate with technical ICT teams to address business process and system issues.
    • Promote practices that improve outcomes for children.
    • Update guidance and support with training
    • Support Ofsted inspections and peer reviews.
    • Utilize management information and data to inform business intelligence.

    Key Experience Required:

    • Experienced social work manager with a sound knowledge of different service areas and how data is used to support practice.
    • Proven track record of leading and managing teams through organizational change.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice, legislation, and professional standards.
