    We have a number of exciting opportunities within our Business Support Service for self-motivated Business Support Assistants, providing essential support to our practice staff members.

    We have six positions available, five roles are within our Targeted Family Help Business Support Team, and one role is within our Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Business Support team.

    The Targeted Family Help Business Support Team provide support to practitioners who provide early intervention for children and families across Birmingham.

    The Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence team provides support to professionals working with children and families affected by domestic abuse, helping ensure families receive timely and appropriate help in challenging circumstances.

    You will work closely with colleagues and multi-agency partners across the service, providing high quality administrative support. The role involves accurately processing and managing information and data, helping services deliver positive outcomes for some of Birmingham’s most vulnerable children and families.

    We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting.

    This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.

    As part of your application, you must provide supporting information demonstrating how your skills and experience meet the criteria in the person specification. This must be uploaded in the ‘Upload Supporting Information’ section of the application form. Applications will only be considered for shortlisting if both a CV and supporting statement are provided.

    These citywide roles are based at either One Avenue Road, Aston or Lifford House, Stirchley, working in a hybrid model. Staff are required to work at least two days per week in the office, with the remaining time working from home.

    Additional office days may be required for team meetings, supervision, or rota requirements, as determined by management.

    Please state your preferred main site (One Avenue Road or Lifford House) on your application form. There may occasionally be a requirement to work across both locations, so flexibility is essential.

    Onboarding Process: Please note as part of our onboarding process, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a series of background checks with Experian, Including Experian Right to Work, and Digital ID verification. These are essential pre-employment requirements.

    Interviews will take place between 9th and 20th April and will be held in person either at Lifford House or One Avenue Road.
