Birmingham Children’s Trust are expanding the internal Children’s Homes portfolio. We recognise the importance of providing good quality placements to our children and young people and want to provide homes that keep children and young people close to family, peers and education.
We are excited to be recruiting for a new Registered Manager with strong leadership and childcare experience to lead our team in our residential home. This role is to manage a 3 bed long term EBD home. The home is currently rated as GOOD and we are looking for an aspirational manager to lead the home to achieving outstanding.
This is role based in Birmingham so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
As our new Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the residential home. You will champion the best interests of young people, lead child-centred practice, and ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed. The role requires strong resource management and effective leadership, as well as active contribution to the wider Children’s Residential Services management team.
You will have experience of working in a children’s residential setting at a senior level, with the ability to manage staff capability successfully. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and collaborative service.
The Residential provision is a 24 hour service, applicants for these roles will be expected to be part of an on-call rota. This is shared with an established and experienced group of Registered Managers and you will be paid for the on-call shifts that you undertake.
We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting.
