    This is an exciting opportunity within our Business Support Service for a passionate and self-motivated Team Leader to lead our redesigned Vulnerable Young People’s Service, which includes: Family Group Conferencing, Edge of Care, Southwark, Life Long Links and Domestic Abuse. As a Team Leader you will have a pivotal role in supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of all aspects of our services and work closely with others in the Business Support Services team.

    This post sits without our Help & Protection Business Support Service and you will work closely with 8 other team leaders in this service as well as the wide Team Leader cohort within Birmingham Children’s Trust

    About the Team

    The primary function of the role is to lead a team of Business Support staff who provide support to Social Care Staff.  The team work closely with our Practice colleagues to ensure data is up to date and that our care system Eclipse reflects accurate and timely information about Children and Families.

    About You

    You will be a ‘can-do' person, who is passionate about high quality service delivery and performance.  You will be able to work effectively within a dedicated team environment, be customer focused and able to deliver the role with a flexible forward-thinking and creative approach.

    You will have a critical role in the effective day to day running of the Business Support Service for the Vulnerable Young People service, you will have the experience of change and stakeholder management; possess outstanding leadership and management skills, be well organised, creative and innovative in your thinking and approach.  You will have the skills and confidence to set work and meet tight deadlines; be articulate and proactive.  

    You will be able to set clear expectations and be experienced at motivating and delegating to a team.

    • Hybrid model of remote working with 2 days per week in the office to suit your work/life balance
    • 30 days holiday on joining, plus bank holidays. This increases to 32 days after five years’ service, and then 34 days after ten years’ service
