• About The Role

  • Birmingham Children’s Trust is looking for a skilled and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and help us deliver high-quality financial support for services that make a real difference to Children, Young People and Families across Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a busy and supportive finance team, where your work will directly contribute to the effective delivery of services for children, young people and families across Birmingham. Working closely with Finance Managers, service leads and budget holders, you will provide trusted financial advice, support budget monitoring and forecasting, analyse complex information and help ensure resources are used effectively across the Trust. You will also contribute to the Trust’s annual financial cycle, support the development of the wider team, champion continuous improvement and help strengthen business partnering across our services.

We are looking for someone with strong financial management experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the confidence to build effective relationships in a complex organisation. You will be CCAB qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge, and committed to professional standards, equality, collaboration and improvement.

We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.

    Our Benefits

    • A generous annual leave package of 30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years of service and 35 days after 10 years of service.
    • Free on-site parking at our offices on One Avenue Road (Aston) and Lifford House (Stirchley). We also provide onsite electric car charging ports which are free to use!

    • Pension Scheme - You will receive a generous local government career average pension scheme in line with the local government pension scheme.

Don't miss out! We reserve the right to close this vacancy early once we have received the required number of applications. To avoid disappointment, please submit your application and supporting statement at the earliest opportunity.
