    We have an exciting opportunity within our Financial Operations Service for a self-motivated Business Support Assistant providing essential support to our practice staff members.  The Team is currently in a period of transition,  moving to the Finance Service from Business Support.

    The posts are within the Financial Operations Team.  Financial Operations team play a crucial role providing support across Birmingham Childrens Trust.

    This role will be based at Lifford House, Stirchley, Birmingham, however we do work to hybrid model of working, as part of a flexible team you may be asked to cover at our other location One Avenue Road, Aston, Birmingham. 
     

    The Financial Operations Team process a range of financial transactions, supporting services across Birmingham Childrens Trust.  Eg: petty cash payments, ordering goods and services via a variety of methods, making payments to carers and individuals, and dealing with general/complex administrative tasks and queries via phone/email/face to face. 

    About You:

    • You will work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision.
    • You will play an important role in the effective day to day running of the service we are looking for people who are well organised; have good attention to detail and who can work to and meet tight deadlines.
    • You must be able to work effectively within a team environment, be customer and child focused and be able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.
    • You will be a ‘can-do' person, who is passionate about high quality service delivery and performance.

    Key skills we will be looking for in your personal statement include:-

    • Attention to detail with an ability to work accurately e.g. literacy and numeracy
    • Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives are met
    • An ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision, and the ability to multi-task to cover other roles within the team
    • Experience of working in a pressured environment, dealing with several conflicting and changing priorities effectively, to achieve business objectives
    • Good understanding of Microsoft packages
